AI Coaching Chatbots: Do they rival human coaches?
Posted on: 18 Aug 2022
AI coaching chatbots, aka ‘CoachBots’, are on the rise. Professional associations like the ICF are beginning to recognise “the impact that digital coaching platforms and use of artificial intelligence (AI) are bringing to our profession” (more info here). Many coaches who previously thought it impossible to deliver coaching digitally are beginning to consider otherwise.
This issue of Coaching Research in Practice looks at a recent study of an artificial coaching app, the quality of the coaching ‘relationship’ developed and the impact on coaching outcomes. It highlights some real advantages of coaching chatbots, as well as some limitations.
As of this month, all ReciproCoach members have free access to the most recent issue of Coaching Research in Practice for one week from the date of publish.
